Upcoming Workshops & ResourcesWORKSHOP: Media Literacy using GlogsterDESCRIPTION: Media in the 21st century has had strong impact on our culture. As technologies emerge which capatalize on visual communication, media has significantly influenced and shaped our perceptions, beliefs and attitudes. As the rate of media consumption increases, learners must master the skills required to sift through the mass of information to determine what is essential and needed to continue lifelong learning. During this workshop, participants will create a virtual poster project using Glogster, an up-and-coming Web 2.0 tool. They will identify characteristics of persuasive writing and transfer their understanding to create engaging, interactive posters online.

During this workshop, participants will learn how to create, integrate and assess quality podcasts and vodcasts as a type of authentic product of learning.
